Karin’s Friends are hosting a large fundraising event next month. Our ”Care for Karin Benefit Concert and Silent Auction” event will be held at the Louis Millett Community Complex in New Minas on March 5, 2016 starting at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 each.
We are raising funds to assist Karin Robertson with living expenses during her recovery from chemotherapy treatments for Stage III Ovarian Cancer. Karin is an active member of the farming community in the Annapolis Valley and was a vendor at the Wolfville Farmers Market for many years, selling lamb and eggs. Prior to farming, she was a Kings County employment counsellor, working with hundreds of clients to develop and upgrade their skills and find meaningful work. Currently, she is unable to work.
Karin is a community member and local businesswoman who needs our support. All Silent Auction purchases are tax deductible.
Please consider attending the event. We have a fantastic line up of local musicians (Mark Reily, Heather Kelday, and Cuckoo Moon), finger food, cash bar, a silent auction planned (7pm-9pm), door prizes and a 50/50 draw. It will be a wonderful gathering of friends, family, and community to help support and love Karin.
